The second of two dynamic, three-day sessions focused on paddling in tides, current and rock gardens, navigating open-water crossings, and more! We’re teaming up with Scott Fairty of The Power of Water and Bill Lozano of Atlantic Kayak Tours to offer this opportunity for some top-notch coaching in a dynamic ocean environment, where you can develop skills while having fun and enjoying Rhode Island’s craggy, scenic shoreline.

Rough plan (depending on conditions and group desires):
Evening prior to Day 1: Meet to go over goals and plan for the next day.
Day 1: Intro to salty water paddling: tides, currents and rock gardening
Day 2: Salty water skills: tidal races, surfing, navigation
Day 3: Journey to Block Island or Fishers Island, paddling in following and beam seas, on-the-fly navigation and conditions that arise; or 3 Star Sea Assessment.

Coaches:
Bill Lozano, Atlantic Kayak Tours
Scott Fairty, Power of Water
Alec Bloyd-Peshkin, Have Kayaks, Will Travel
Sharon Bloyd-Peshkin, Have Kayaks, Will Travel
